Beginner Watercolor Forests

Join Freya Gereke of Odd Fox & Fern for an introduction to monochrome watercolor skills and techniques! This workshop covers brush and water control, wet and dry techniques, and troubleshooting. Once everyone is comfortable with basic skills, we apply those to painting a layered forest hillscape reminiscent of the Cascades. Students are encouraged to bring their own paints and brushes but materials will be supplied for anyone that needs them.

Freya Gereke is a first generation German American, from the San Francisco Bay Area. She shows her respect and love for nature through her art by focusing on flora, fauna, and fungi as subjects as well as using nature-derived materials when possible. In 2021 she founded Odd Fox and Fern to bring her passion to others in the form of fiber arts, watercolor paintings, and small workshops.
