Join us for this fun after-school ceramics program where students will learn hand-building techniques to make a functional item and a creature of their choice! Parents are welcome to drop off their children for the duration of the class.

About the event
Join us for this fun after-school ceramics program! No experience needed. Students will learn hand building techniques including pinching, slipping and scoring, in order to make one practical item (mug, bowl, etc.) and build on these skills to make a sculptural creature of their choosing, observing the museum's animals (including axolotls!) as inspiration. All materials are provided. Parents are welcome to drop off their children for the duration of the class. Students' pieces will be bisqued and glazed by the instructor for pick up two to three weeks after the course.
A minimum of 5 students is required for this class to run. Tickets will be refunded if this minimum limit is not met.
