About the event
All About Animals Carnivores, Herbivores and Omnivores, oh my! Learn to identify sounds of the wild and domestic animal world. Explore paws and claws and the animals that use them to survive.
Life in the Sea Swim through warm sunlit zones, meander into deeper waters and finally dive deep down into the abyss. Explore the technologies – man-made and biological – that can take us there!
Lights, Color, Action Take a journey through wavelengths and prisms to shed some light on science! Perform experiments that mix colors of light together and then separate them again! Build a machine that can create white light from all the colors of the rainbow!
Sonic Sounds Perform various precarious experiments with Mad Science’s fundamental polymer – Slime! Concoct a variety of chemical formulations and put them to the test in our Slime Olympics. Make and take home the winner as your very own “Perfect Slime.”
Walloping Weather The forecast calls for meteorological mayhem in the form of thunderbolts, heavy winds and the occasional tornado – all produced in the safety of our laboratory!
Earthworks Travel to the center of the planet to unlock the mysteries of our Earth! Discover fluorescent minerals and investigate the inner workings of earthquakes and volcanoes.
Wacky Water Re-create the motion of the ocean in our Mad Science Lab. Explore the power of density to make things float. Will you sink or swim?
Tantalizing Taste Science often uses the sense of sight, hearing, smell and touch to make observations. Here’s your opportunity to use your sense of taste and literally take a bite out of science!
